On Tuesday, following a public outcry over Roseanne Barr's racist tweets, ABC dropped the reboot of her TV show.
Over the course of the day, media experts criticized ABC for giving Barr a show in the first place, given her very public history of boosting racist conspiracy theories.
Now, Think Progress reports that mere weeks ago, ABC executives were joking about Barr's tweets.
“For the record, I have absolutely nothing to do with Roseanne’s Twitter account,” joked ABC Television Group chairman Ben Sherwood. “Take a look at her most recent tweet. It was all her.”
