President Donald Trump on Wednesday issued an angry rant against his enemies in America's law enforcement agencies by referring to them as the "Criminal Deep State."

"Look how things have turned around on the Criminal Deep State," the president wrote. "They go after Phony Collusion with Russia, a made up Scam, and end up getting caught in a major SPY scandal the likes of which this country may never have seen before! What goes around, comes around!"

Trump then went on to claim that "SPYGATE could be one of the biggest political scandals in history!"

Despite the president's assertions, however, there is no evidence that the FBI implanted a spy in his presidential campaign in 2016. Rather, the FBI had a confidential informant who met with some Trump campaign officials who had had contacts with Russian intelligence officials during the campaign.

Additionally, Trump still hasn't outlined how the FBI's investigation into his campaign's contacts with Russian officials in 2016 was an attempt to undermine his presidential run, as the agency was completely silent about its probe during the campaign, even as former FBI Director James Comey dropped a bombshell on rival Hillary Clinton eleven days before the election by reopening the probe into her use of a private email server.

Finally, Trump's assertion that the Mueller probe is a "made up scam" is highly dubious since it has secured more than 20 indictments and four guilty pleas so far.
