Former Donald Trump campaign official Steve Cortes blew up at Erin Burnett on Thursday night after the CNN host informed him that the president is one of the biggest leakers in the White House.
Speaking with former Clinton White House official Keith Boykin, Burnett broached the subject of the Trump administration canceling some internal meetings to avoid leaks.
Boykin said the daily meeting is necessary to keep everyone on "the same page" and that without the meeting it's a "recipe for chaos."
Cortes said that tougher measures need to be taken in order to find the leakers. "I think people need to be fired. We need to find out who these people are, they need to be fired, they need to be rolled out of the White House in a very public way," he said.
Burnett pointed out that the main leaker of all is President Trump. "There are a lot of leakers in the White House. One of them is the president," she said.
Cortes quickly interjected, asking her to prove that President Trump is a leaker. "We can't say that as fact, do you know that? Has he leaked to you?" he asked.
Boykin jumped in trying to keep the conversation on track, but slightly failed. "Let's not get off on that diversion, let's answer the question," he said.
"Hold on, do you know that? You can't just say that as a fact," Cortes kept saying.
