Drunken white woman hurls racist abuse at black kids on Connecticut beach

A Connecticut woman was arrested for hurling racist abuse at black children and arguing with police who responded to the attack.

Officers said 60-year-old Mary Holcomb shouted racial slurs at some children at a Killingly swimming area while speaking to their mother, reported the Norwich Bulletin.

Police responded to the incident, and officers said they found Holcomb intoxicated and yelling.

Holcomb refused to tell officers her date of birth or address when they questioned her, and the woman at one point threw herself to the ground.

She was arrested and charged with interfering with an officer and second-degree breach of peace.

Bond was set at $1,500, and Holcomb was ordered to appear July 10 in court.
