In a Sunday tweet, President Donald Trump called the "fake news media" the "enemy of the people," and blamed the FBI for leaking information.

"Why was the FBI giving so much information to the Fake News Media [sic]. They are not supposed to be doing that, and knowing the enemy of the people Fake News, they put their own spin on it - truth doesn’t matter to them!" Trump tweeted.

Ironically, Trump's own White House leaks information like a sieve and has engaged in a battle to uncover the so-called leakers. Fire and Fury author Michael Wolff once called Trump the biggest leaker in the White House.

Trump also told veteran CBS 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl during the 2016 election that his war with the press is actually about inoculating himself against the truth taking him down.

"I do it to discredit you all and demean you all so when you write negative stories about me, no one will believe you,” Stahl recalled Trump saying.

Trump went on to attack the former FBI agent that was briefly on the team of special counsel Robert Mueller. The man, Peter Strzok has not been on the team for over a year.

"Why was the FBI’s sick loser, Peter Strzok, working on the totally discredited Mueller team of 13 Angry & Conflicted Democrats, when Strzok was giving Crooked Hillary a free pass yet telling his lover, lawyer Lisa Page, that “we’ll stop” Trump from becoming President? Witch Hunt!" Trump tweeted.

“'The highest level of bias I’ve ever witnessed in any law enforcement officer.'” Trey Gowdy on the FBI’s own, Peter Strzok. Also remember that they all worked for Slippery James Comey and that Comey is best friends with Robert Mueller. A really sick deal, isn’t it?" Trump tweeted, quoting Gowdy's Sunday morning talk commentary.
