Former Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe went on MSNBC's Kasie DC on Sunday night to deliver a message to fellow Democrats.

The first thing the Democrat did was make it clear he believed there was collusion with Russia to steal the 2016 election.

"I mean, there was a meeting in Trump Tower with the president's son with campaign advisors, with Russians saying we're going to give you dirt on Hillary," he said. "I don't know how else you would define collusion."

But then he pivoted to his message:

"Look what we did in Virginia. Record number of jobs created. Took unemployment from 5.4 down to 3.6. Billions of dollars of new investment. Largest investment in K-12 in Virginia history," he said. "Voters want to know what we're actually going to do for them."

What Democrats need is a "concrete policy victory," Kasie Hunt said.

"The Democratic message is what are we going to do for you—that's what voters want from us," he said.
