Ivanka Trump has been working on the Perkins Career and Technical Education Act, which is merely a reauthorization of an existing incentive for career technical colleges that teach science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills. But at an Iowa roundtable, her father joked he might veto it.
As the first daughter announced the legislation, Trump shot back at her, "maybe I'll veto it." The two laughed and pointed at each other.
Her face then quickly changed to an uncomfortable smile.
"Get that to my desk before I change my mind," the president said.
