
A Fresno, California man has been arrested in connection to the death of a toddler who shot and killed himself on Saturday, reported ABC 7 News.
Oscar Ramos, 35 was at home with a family friend and Jenna Moya, 22, the fiancé of Jace's father. The 2-year-old Jace Alexander, was at home in the company of adults when they decided to leave him in the living room by himself.
The adults went into their bedroom for around 30 minutes to play video games. During this time Jace Alexander got a hold of a gun left out on the counter, and shot himself.
Ramos refused to call 911 after Moya asked several times. Moya eventually picked up the phone and called police.
Once police arrived, they rushed the child to Valley Children's Hospital, but he died hours later.
Police Chief Jerry Dyer arrested Ramos, and charged him with criminal storage of a firearm. If convicted could face up to three years in prison.
