A Colorado man is facing multiple charges of felony menacing after he allegedly screamed racial slurs at a Hispanic family that was using a pool at his apartment complex.

The Boulder Daily Camera reports that a recently issued arrest warrant affidavit accuses 53-year-old Longmont, Colorado resident Kevin Edward McMahon of threatening a Hispanic family that was swimming at the pool last month at the Fox Ridge Apartments where he lived.

According to the Longmont Police Department, McMahon repeatedly called the family "wetbacks" and told them that, "When Trump builds the wall, they are gonna need to know how to swim back home." Police also say that McMahon asked one member of the family if they urinated outdoors "like an animal."

Police say he then told the family that he was going back to his apartment to retrieve his gun -- and he then came back with "what appeared to be a pistol wrapped in a towel, which he placed on a table."

A witness who was at the pool told police that McMahon seemed to be highly inebriated when he came back to the pool with a weapon wrapped in a towel.

McMahon faces two charges of bias-motivated crime, one charge of disorderly conduct and 10 charges of felony menacing, the Boulder Daily Camera reports.
