Deputy White House ethics attorney, Stefan Passantino, is planning on resigning from his position, according to Politico.
Four sources close to Passantino said that he plans to depart by the end of the summer. Passantino was responsible for overseeing ethics for Trump officials.
“He’s the clean-up guy,” a close adviser to the White House told Politico.
He joined President Trump's team in January 2017 and took on an "unenviable task" to educate and enforce ethical policies to those new to the government within the Trump administration.
Friends close to Passantino also mentioned that he wishes to be closer to his family in Atlanta.
