A Georgia high school football coach has been placed on leave after shirts he made telling athletes not to be "p*ssies" raised objections from parents.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Curtis Mattair, Chamblee High School's head football coach, was placed on paid leave in the days after shirts he gave to athletes using the acronym for "Don't Be No P*ssy" were revealed.

"This is what I can confirm: employee Curtis Mattair is currently on paid administrative leave,” DeKalb County School District spokesman Andre Riley told the AJC in a statement.

The spokesman also noted that the coach was placed on leave on Monday, August 27, and will remain on leave until the school concludes its investigation into him.
