Former Trump campaign advisor Michael Caputo: The president is one step closer to impeachment

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump's former campaign advisor Michael Caputo told CNN's Poppy Harlow that the president might be one step closer to impeachment.

Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort were both found guilty of tax fraud on Tuesday. Because of this, Harlow then stated that some Democrats could start taking action towards impeaching the president.

"If the Democrats take over the house during midterm elections— this indictment coming out of the Southern District of New York — this charge is enough for them to run impeachment against the president, even in the first quarter," Harlow said.

She then asked Caputo if he agreed or not. "Is the president closer to impeachment today than 48 hours ago?" Harlow asked.

"I believe so. I believe we've got real problems in the House of Representatives. It is getting worse," Caputo said.
