White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Friday issued a statement condemning the new book by former Trump aide Omarosa Manigault Newman in which she accuses President Donald Trump of being an unrepentant racist.
"Instead of telling the truth about the good President Trump and his administration are doing to make America safe and prosperous, this book is riddled with lies and false accusations," Sanders said. "It's sad that a disgruntled former White House employee is trying to profit off these false attacks, and even worse that the media would give her a platform, after not taking her seriously when she had only positive things to say about the president during her time in the administration."

Earlier on Friday, a leaked excerpt of Omarosa's upcoming book -- titled “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House” -- showed that the former Trump aide is claiming that she personally witnessed Trump go on a racist tirade against George Conway, the husband of Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, whose mother is from the Philippines.
“Would you look at this George Conway article?” Trump said, according to Omarosa. “F*cking flip! Disloyal! F*cking Goo-goo.”
Both “flip” and “goo-goo” are racial slurs aimed at Filipinos.
Omarosa has also written in her book that Trump underwent a noticeable mental decline during the first year of his presidency, while alleging that he regularly "spoke gibberish."
