On Monday, CNN's Jim Scutiio panel said that it was embarrassing that President Donald Trump boasted about false unemployment numbers that one of his staff members refuted.
Trump tweeted on Monday, "The GDP Rate (4.2 percent) is higher than the Unemployment Rate (3.9 percent) for the first time in over 100 years!"

During Monday's White House press briefing Kevin Hassett, chairman of Trump's Council of Economic Advisors admitted that Trump's number was false.
"What is true it is that it's the highest in 10 years. At some point, somebody probably conveyed it to him adding a zero to that, and they shouldn't have done that," Hassett said.
CNN analyst Susan Hennessey said that it was the first time a White House staff member fact-checked Trump in public.
"I think it is remarkable how rare a scene that was. This is one of the first times we have seen a White House staffer stand up and say, no, I'm going, to tell the truth, and give you the actual fact," Hennessey said.
She added, "We have a White House that appears to at least try to develop factual information and a president at every turn who throws things out there on the internet, and lets everybody else clean up the mess."
