On Tuesday Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh had his confirmation hearing.

People protested his hearing and senators spoke out about how they believed his hearing should be rescheduled. Even with this backlash,  the Trump reelection campaign twisted it to fundraise.

An email sent out to supporters said that Democrats "highjacked" the hearing and that it was "disgraceful" because Kavanaugh's kids were present.

"They screamed. They shouted. They were nasty. All in front of Judge Kavanaugh kids who were there to proudly watch their father's historic Supreme Court nomination begin," the letter said.
