Tomi Lahren calls anyone voting for Democrats stupid and ill-informed -- then Fox News host completely ignores her
Tomi Lahren (Fox News)

During a Sunday Fox News panel discussion, conservative commentator Tomi Lahren essentially admitted anyone switching from a Trump supporter to a Democratic voter is an ill-informed idiot.

During a discussion about the Russia investigation and whether Paul Manafort would flip or not, Lahren said all Democrats are trying to do is make an association from Russia to the GOP to confuse stupid people.

"What the Democrats are doing is playing to the low-information voters and viewers who look at Paul Manafort and tie his name to President Trump and they think they have a smoking gun," she said of the so-called dumb voter. "That's all they want to do for the midterm. They want to cast a shadow over President Trump and his administration so they can win low-information viewers. And for some, it's probably going to work which is the sad part."

According to polling, those watching Fox News are the lowest informed of any other cable news viewing audience.

In one survey, researchers asked 1,185 people nationwide what news sources they had consumed, and then asked questions about events in the U.S. and abroad.

"They found that someone who watched only Fox News would be expected to answer 1.04 domestic questions correctly compared to 1.22 for those who watched no news at all," the report revealed.

In the second half of the panel discussion, the host, who generally promotes populist ideals, simply ignored Lahren and didn't ask her any further questions.

"Sorry, Tomi, no, uh, no time on that one," said host Steve Hilton. "We'll get back to you later."
