Fox News on Friday tried to start a discussion about comedian Rosie O'Donnell saying the military should be sent to the White House to remove President Donald Trump -- but Fox News political analyst Juan Williams wondered why it was worth talking about.
"I want to send the military to the White House to get him," O'Donnell during an appearance on MSNBC. She was responding to news that Trump wanted to send the military to the U.S.-Mexico border.
Fox News host Bill Hemmer asked Williams, a liberal commentator, if he wanted to defend O'Donnell's statement.
"No," Williams said bluntly. "I don't want to send the military to the border, I don't want to send them to the White House. I mean, look, this is all hyperbole."
"We are in a crazy season of politics," he continued. "This is what is taken seriously? This deserves airtime on Fox News? No. She's making a crazy statement."
