Donald Trump: 'Women were outraged at what happened to Brett Kavanaugh!'

As accused rapist Brett Kavanaugh is sworn onto the Supreme Court in a building surrounded by aggressive protesters, President Donald Trump was flying to Topeka, Kansas, to give a rally speech.


While in the air, the president answered questions for reporters and agains praised Kavanaugh.

"He was able to withstand this horrible, horrible attack by the Democrats," Trump said. It was a horrible attack that nobody shopuld have to go through."

Trump then said that women were "extremely happy" to see Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court.

"I think actually that women—If you look, I can tell you that the people that spoke to me, really in the strongest of terms were women. Women. Women, were outraged at what happened to Brett Kavanaugh! And I think that's a total misnomer [sic]. The women were, in a lot of ways, stronger than the men in favor of Brett Kavanaugh."
