Why did Florida Republican Ron DeSantis release his taxes online -- but not tell anyone about it?

Mayor Andrew Gillum (D-FL) criticized Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) for not releasing his taxes, but DeSantis did release them, he just didn't tell anyone about it and buried it on his website.

"We're still waiting for the congressman to release the tax returns," Gillum told CNN's Jake Tapper, who moderated the debate.

"I don't have anything to hide," DeSantis said.

Gillum's Deputy Campaign Manager Joshua Karp tweeted about it after the DeSantis campaign attacked Gillum saying they "did" post DeSantis' tax returns.

The implication is that DeSantis wanted to claim he posted his taxes publicly, but he likely doesn't want anyone to review them.
