Fox News personality Lisa Boothe lashed out at "baseless allegations" of sexual assault during a passionate defense of President Donald Trump's nominee for the United States Supreme Court.
Attempting to defend the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, Boothe said it was the worst thing she'd witnessed during her ten years in politics.
"Regarding fund-raising and picking up as a result of it, you have people like me who have always tried to treat those I disagree with with respect and have empathy for them," Boothe claimed. "It is really hard these past couple weeks."
"I have never -- in my entire ten years working in politics -- been so disgusted with the political process and the weaponization of these baseless allegations," Boothe argued.
"Because this isn't about politics, this isn't about a job interview. This is someone's life. His two little girls at home who are hearing this, who he has had to have conversations with with and a wife," Boothe shouted. "There is a family that is affected."
"There are two families that are affected, and families across the country are affected," noted Jake Maccoby, referring to Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and other survivors coming forward to tell their #MeToo movement stories.
Maccoby was the former chief spokesperson for Attorney General Eric Holder.
But Boothe continued to argue that Republicans had done a good job by hiring a prosecutor to interrogate the reported sexual assault victim during Kavanaugh's confirmation.
Boothe shouted that the multiple allegations of sexual assault against Judge Kavanaugh were only "baseless allegations."
Anchor Harris Faulkner had to intervene to stop the back-and-forth.
