Former White House communications director Hope Hicks has been named the head of corporate communications for New Fox, Variety reported Monday.
New Fox is the company that will remain after 21st Century Fox completes its sale to the Walt Disney Company. New Fox includes 21st Century Fox television stations -- including Fox News.
This would put Hicks in charge of defending Fox News -- at the same time Fox News is defending President Donald Trump against investigations by special counsel Robert Mueller.
Hicks may have legal exposure in the Russia investigations, she has been interviewed by special counsel investigators.
Hicks resigned as White House communications director 24 hours after testifying before the House Intelligence Committee about Russian collusion.
Hicks testified for roughly nine hours and reportedly refused to answer questions about her role in issuing a misleading statement about the infamous Trump Tower meeting with Russian operatives.
