Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) said he believes Dr. Christine Blasey Ford was sexually assaulted but that he wasn't sure if Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was the one who did it.
"I believe Dr. Ford," Manchin told reporters after announcing he's voting to confirm Kavanaugh.
"Something happened -- I don't believe that the facts showed it was Brett Kavanaugh," the West Virginia Democrat continued. "But I believe something happened."
"You think it was someone else who did it?" a reporter asked him.
"I think something happened to her," Manchin said. "I just -- there was no way -- no way at all we could see."
