Melania Trump spoke with "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert in the wake of her first official interview since becoming the first lady.

Introducing the first lady, Colbert showed a photo of her standing in front of the pyramids in her pith helmet. He described her first solo trip to Africa as a "hit" according to Egyptian hieroglyphics. But when it came to the ABC News interview, Colbert honed in on the moment in which Mrs. Trump was asked about dealing with her husband's alleged infidelities while in the public eye.

"Yes, we're fine," she told ABC.

Not exactly a resounding endorsement.

"I see you're still wearing the outfit you wore on your trip to Africa," Colbert observed.

"Yes, I'm just going to keep it on through Halloween," she replied. "I'm going as the ghost of colonialism."

"Is it true that you're not focused on your husband's alleged affairs?" Colbert asked.

"Absolutely, Stephen. I do not focus on who he focuses," she said with a thick accent that made "focus" sound profane. "Maybe he should go focus himself."

The audience burst into laughter, and the host had a hard time keeping a straight face.

"So, things are still good between you and the president?" Colbert asked. "Because during the interview, when asked if you loved him, all you said was, 'Yes, we are fine, yes.'"

Mrs. Trump explained that was an exact quote from their vows.

"They asked, 'Do you take this man to be your husband?' And I looked into Donald's eyes, and with all my heart I said, 'Yeah, fine.'"
