MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle sits in stunned silence -- then erupts on Trump for 'young men' Kavanaugh defense

One of the more colorful and outspoken personalities on MSNBC's news team, Stephanie Ruhle, sat stunned into silence by President Trump's comments defending Brett Kavanaugh today, in which he said "the current climate is difficult for young men", but that "women are doing great."

Kavanaugh supporters have questioned accuser Christine Ford's memory, and the president himself asked why she didn't come forward for thirty years.

As co-host Ali Velshi began analyzing Trump's statements, Ruhle sat silently and unblinking into the camera for nearly 15 seconds, before closing her eyes as if she had a migraine.

"As we watch all that's unfolding with Brett Kavanaugh, and other things that have happened in the last year, we think a lot about how we raise our boys in this climate," Ruhle interjected. "But we also think as much, if not more, and I'm going to lean in on the 'if not more' how we raise our girls."

"The amount of women who come forward with false accusations pales, pales in comparison to those who come forward with true ones," Ruhle said. "The amount of women who are too scared or because of their circumstances don't come forward. It's stunning to me that the president could say, 'girls, they're doing just fine'."
