Roseanne Barr rages at ABC for killing off her character in 'grim and morbid' opioid death: 'I ain't dead, b*itches'

Roseanne Conner died last night, a victim of America's opioid epidemic.

The titular character on the rebooted ABC sitcom was fired from her own show after tweeting racist taunts of a black former Obama administration official and then blaming the sleeping aid Ambien.

Barr had agreed to cede her intellectual property rights to the show's characters before the reboot, and after the tirade she was written out.

Following her death on screen, Roseanne tweeted to say she is not dead.

Barr's rabbi later issued a more measured statement on her behalf via Facebook, calling the opioid death an "unnecessary grim and morbid dimension to an otherwise happy family show."
