According to a report at the Daily Beast, former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon is getting the cold shoulder from GOP candidates who are refusing to appear with him at rallies that he is holding to boost their midterm election chances.

The Beast notes that a Wednesday night rally in upstate New York was attended by a sparse crowd of 200 people who witnessed him boast about his importance in the election of Presdicent Donald Trump. Not in attendance was Republican David DiPietro, who is running for re-election to the New York state assembly and canceled plans to appear with the controversial Bannon.

The report states that an even smaller crowd showed up for a rally in Staten Island on Monday night, with Bannon only attracting only 38 onlookers.
