
President Donald Trump took his show on the road Friday evening to Mesa, Arizona. As the state faces a major Senate race, Trump is making a last-ditch effort to save traditionally safe Republican seats.
Both Arizona and Nevada were seen to be possible pick-up seats for Democrats, but polls are giving Republicans the edge, according to FiveThirtyEight.
"In both states, Democrats had been hoping that demographics and candidates well-suited to their political environments would help edge up the party’s Senate margins. But things aren’t going entirely to plan," the site explained.
"The classic version of FiveThirtyEight’s model currently gives [Rep. Kyrsten] Sinema (D-AZ) a 3 in 5 chance of winning the seat, so the Democrat is still favored. But polls from September routinely showed her up on McSally by between 2 and 7 percentage points, while October polls have shown her lead dwindling," the site also said.
