New Yorkers were furious when Jimmy Kimmel and his team pranked them with the claim that Lincoln Center would henceforth be named Trump Center. People were furious.
Kimmel got the idea when he learned that Trump's name was being removed from yet another building. This marks the seventh building that has removed the Trump name from the property in the last two years.
Armed with a mock-up of the design for what Trump intends to do to the building, Kimmel's staff took to the streets.
"Oh, sh*t," was one man's response to the news Trump bought Lincoln Center.
"Have you heard the news?" the Kimmel staffer asked another woman.
"No, no, I haven't heard," she replied.
"He's changing the name to Trump Center," the Kimmel guy said.
"What!?" she exclaimed, her face filled with horror. "No."
"Why would you change it to Trump Center?" one woman asked.
"Because he bought it," the Kimmel guy explained.
"So what?"
"I feel like Lincoln Center is such a household name that changing it would be a crime," one woman said.
When they busted out the diagram putting fast food restaurants, a bowling alley and a Hooters in the new Trump Center, an older woman was visibly disgusted.
"Is that 'KFC' stand for Kentucky Fried Chicken?" she asked.
"Well, yeah, because Trump likes it," Kimmel's staffer explained.
"I-I-I'm -- this is, this is, no, I can't agree," she said.
