A CNN panel burst into laughter on Friday when discussing the latest revelations surrounding President Donald Trump and his attempt to score a deal for Trump Tower Moscow even as he was running for president.
While discussing former Trump "fixer" Michael Cohen's latest plea agreement, CNN legal analyst Shan Wu said that he was particularly struck by the fact that Cohen had given special counsel Robert Mueller 70 hours worth of testimony.
"The 70 hours is an enormous amount of time," he said. "What that tells me is that there is nothing that the prosecutors don't know that about what Cohen wants them to know about. And what he wants them to know about are things that are damaging to the president, the family, his business."
Later in the panel, Wu said he was blown away by reports that the Trump Organization had planned to give Russian President Vladimir Putin a $50 million penthouse in Trump Tower Moscow for free in order to grease the skids on the real estate project.
"It's like the $50 million question," he joked as the entire panel burst into laughter. "It sounds like a bribe to me, frankly!"
