A Wisconsin Republican congressman is angry that young people are voting for Democrats, arguing that they are merely doing so to be fashionable.

According to, Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-WI) reacted to his party losing the majority in the House of Representatives by chiding young voters.

“I think culturally, there are both young people and—I don’t know what you call them—young professionals, who feel it’s the in thing to do,” he said. “I think there’s an element of it’s fashionable," he said.

Grothman said President Trump is trying to unite the country but that Democrats won't go along.

“We had a president that had Al Sharpton to the White House like 80 times,” he said of the Obama era. “That’s pretty divisive. I don’t think Donald Trump’s ever been that divisive.”
