MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace on Tuesday cautioned viewers that President Donald Trump's "entire" closing statement for the midterm elections "is a lie."
At the open of her election day broadcast, Wallace noted that Trump had motivated record turnout for midterm elections.
"But his most notable impact is on each party's closing message," Wallace continued. "Here's the president's closing message for America. We'll warn you that his entire statement is a lie. And we're only playing it to you to illustrate the vast gulf between the two parties when it comes to credibility, morality and pure political effectiveness."
"Here's Trump's closing lie," the MSNBC host announced before airing the Trump video.
In the president's statement, he alleged that Democrats are "openly encouraging millions of illegal aliens to violate our laws and break into our country. And they want to sign them up for free welfare, free health care, free education and of course the right to vote!"
"Literally none of that statement was true," Wallace pointed out as the video of Trump ended. "Those people may as well have been booing the Grinch."
