Co-host Abby Huntsman got smacked down Friday on "The View" after saying that prominent Trump critic George Conway would be a nobody if he wasn't married to presidential counselor Kelly Anne Conway.
"This is one instance where I do agree with what the president just said there," Huntsman said. "If it weren't that he were Kellyanne's husband, we wouldn't even be talking about him."
"That's not true," retorted co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro nearly simultaneously. "He's a very successful lawyer."
"I know he's a good lawyer," Huntsman said defensively, but insisted "he would not be as well-known as he is if he were not Kellyane's husband."
"No, no," objected Hostin as Huntsman talked over her, before Navarro broke things up with a wisecrack.
"I'm in agreement with calling George Conway 'Mr. Kellyanne Conway' if we can call Jared 'Mr. Ivanka Trump,'" she said.
George Conway first came to prominence for his role in the investigations into President Clinton, and has been the subject of several newspaper articles in recent years.
