President Donald Trump on Monday once again attacked special counsel Robert Mueller, whom he accused of not bothering to interview the staffers on his presidential campaign who did not collude with Russian agents.
"Will [Mueller] be putting in statements from hundreds of people closely involved with my campaign who never met, saw or spoke to a Russian during this period?" the president asked on Twitter. "So many campaign workers, people inside from the beginning, ask me why they have not been called (they want to be). There was NO Collusion & Mueller knows it!"
Although it's likely that most members of Trump's campaign did not meet with Russian agents during the 2016 campaign, that doesn't erase the many who did, including former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner, adviser George Papadopoulos, and, most infamously, Donald Trump Jr.
Additionally, longtime Trump ally Roger Stone admitted to meeting with a Russian agent who promised him dirt on Democrat Hillary Clinton, and Stone then boasted of advance knowledge he had of WikiLeaks' plans to release emails that were stolen from Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.
