Watch Colbert describe the midterms as ‘America’s ongoing nasty divorce’: ‘Who’s getting the House?’

Comedian Stephen Colbert was visibly stressed on the eve of the 2018 midterm election during 'The Late Show' on Monday.

"In the course of America's ongoing bitter divorce, the big question is, 'Who's getting the House?'" he said.

"Democrats need to flip 23 seats to win control and they're feeling alarmingly confident," he noted.

Colbert did not make it through his opening monologue without taking multiple swigs of whiskey as he tried to predict the outcome using polling data, modern statistical analysis, GOP misogyny, astrology, unlucky numbers, and a claim that "Dean Heller saw his shadow, which means six more weeks of election" in this epic rant.
