On Wednesday, CNN conservative commentator Ana Navarro slammed Trump's former aide Steve Cortes over the border wall.

Trump has said that he would shut down the government if Congress does not give him enough money to fund his border wall.

Cortes called Navarro a "globalist" for rejecting the border wall idea.

"I find it fascinating that globalists like you want to defend borders in the Middle East, but not our own border here," he said.

Narrvo then said that "sweet" Cortes should not try to attack him personally.

"You love to come after me personally. So let me tell you this. I am old enough to remember when Republicans were globalists and they gave a dam about what was going on in the world," she said.

"They stood up against human rights abuses in Russia, Central America, and Angola and all over the world because we are not one single country. We are part of a global nation and what happens in those countries affects what happens here," she said.

"I am not apart of a global nation. I'm an American citizen," Cortes responded.

"I'm going to give you a mirror so you can look at what you are," Navarro said.

Cuomo then chimed in by saying he "Doesn't know why [Cortes] makes it personal with Navarro. He does it nine times out of 10."
