Bomb threat forces CNN off-air in the middle of Don Lemon’s show

CNN’s New York offices and studios were evacuated due to a bomb threat called into the station, CNN reported Thursday.

The network has gone to taped programming.

“Several fire alarm bells rang inside CNN’s New York newsroom, signaling an evacuation shortly after 10:30 p.m,” CNN reported. “Staffers evacuated the building and Don Lemon’s “CNN Tonight” was taken off the air.”

The bomb threat was phoned in shortly after an angry tweet from President Donald Trump.

CNN analyst and former FBI special agent Asha Rangappa wondered if the timing for Trump’s tweet and the bomb threat was more than a coincidence.

CNN national security analyst Sam Vinograd also had thoughts on the potential relationship between Trump and the bomb threat.

Along with other Democratic leaders from Congress, Pelosi had earlier walked out of a White House meeting after what she described as "a very serious meltdown on the part of the president.”

During a "Morning Joe" segment on Donald Trump's highly contentious meeting with House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi, host Joe Scarborough grew so disgusted with a tweet the president aimed at the California Democrat that he demanded his producer pull it from view for viewers.

After sharing what he called a "now iconic" photo of Pelosi confronting the president in the meeting and pointing out that people on Trump's side of the table were uniformly hanging their heads in shame, the show then shared Trump's Twitter interpretation of the meeting which included an ugly smear of Pelosi.
