CNN’s New York offices and studios were evacuated due to a bomb threat called into the station, CNN reported Thursday.
The network has gone to taped programming.
“Several fire alarm bells rang inside CNN’s New York newsroom, signaling an evacuation shortly after 10:30 p.m,” CNN reported. “Staffers evacuated the building and Don Lemon’s “CNN Tonight” was taken off the air.”

The bomb threat was phoned in shortly after an angry tweet from President Donald Trump.
FAKE NEWS – THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!

CNN analyst and former FBI special agent Asha Rangappa wondered if the timing for Trump’s tweet and the bomb threat was more than a coincidence.
Meanwhile @cnn being evacuated due to a bomb threat.
Coincidence? You decide. https://t.co/VFIKqCzqSt

CNN national security analyst Sam Vinograd also had thoughts on the potential relationship between Trump and the bomb threat.
Presidents are supposed to want to keep all Americans safe. This one knowingly uses phrases that have inspired violence against @CNN and so many others in the past. He is knowingly calling for violence rather than trying to stop it.
