Fox News' Chris Wallace tore into President Trump's defense of his former national security adviser, and convicted criminal, Michael Flynn, saying the president was trying to have it both ways.

"Michael Flynn, the president says 'Mueller says he lies, Flynn says he didn't lie,'" Wallace said. "What he neglects to admit the president fired him three weeks after he became national security advisor. Why did he fire him?"

"For lying, lying to vice president Mike Pence about the conversation that he had with Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador and whether or not sanctions came up," Wallace continued, answering his own question. "The president fired the man for lying, who he's now he's defending against lying."

Wallace added that the president also seemed to want it both ways for his former fixer Michael Cohen, suggesting it was part of a pattern.
