Longtime Donald Trump fixer Michael Cohen has reportedly said that the Trump Organization was like a "cult," one of his close friends explained on MSNBC's "Deadline: White House" on Wednesday.
Donny Deutsch is a longtime friend of Cohen who revealed the characterization after his friend was sentenced to three years in federal prison.
"He used a word to me a few weeks ago that he'd never used before -- he said it's like a cult," Deutsch revealed
"I got caught up in a cult," Cohen reportedly said.
"Let me ask you, because Donny called it a cult, Jim Comey called it a mob family," host Nicolle Wallace noted.
"What do you see?" Wallace asked Frank Figliuzzi, the former Assistant Director for Counterintelligence at the FBI.
"Well, there's close similarities between a cult and a mob family," Figliuzzi noted.
MSNBC national affairs analyst John Heilemann described it like a famous scene from the movie Goodfellas.
