Trump confidante Roger Stone told reporters that special counsel Robert Mueller still hasn't contacted him -- and made the comments while he was protesting Google outside of Congress with Infowars' Alex Jones.

Stone told NBC News that "nothing's changed" when it comes to radio silence from Mueller when its reporters got a hold of him during his an anti-political bias protest outside Google's Capitol Hill hearing Tuesday.

The report noted that although Stone admits the special counsel's team hasn't interviewed him, he nonetheless told his supporters in an August fundraising email that he expected to be indicted and needed their money for his legal defense fund.

"I need your help to fight back," he wrote to supporters on August 30, 2018. "This attack on me is designed to bankrupt me and destroy me and my family financially. Mueller knows I cannot afford the expensive legal fees to defend myself. My defense cost could be more than $2 million — money I do not have."

Last week, Stone bragged that he would never testify against Trump -- and earned a Twitter shoutout from the president.

“Nice to know that some people still have 'guts!'" Trump tweeted on December 3.
