Internet hits back at Trump for saying Democrats are 'radicalized' over his shutdown: 'Projection much?'

Responding to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) barring him from delivering a State of the Union address during the government shutdown, President Donald Trump whined that Democrats have become "radicalized" in the month since the border wall shutdown began.

"I'm not surprised," the president told reporters after Pelosi's announcement. "It's really a shame what's happening with the Democrats. They've become radicalized."

Twitter users naturally had something to say about it.

"Narcissists often project what they’re doing by accusing others of doing it," one user tweeted. "Gaslighting is making the victim feel like the attacker."

The president's "tactics are transparent," the user added, noting that "the only people being radicalized" are his fans.

Yet another pointed out that Trump may not know the definition of the word "radicalized."

"I don't think he knows what radicalized means, honestly," they wrote. "It's just a dumb thing to say."
