President Donald Trump is said to be considering former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain for the Federal Reserve Board.
Multiple sources told reporters on Thursday that Cain is near the top of Trump's list for the job.
Cain reportedly traveled to the White House on Wednesday to discuss the position.
As a presidential candidate, Cain was known for his "9-9-9" economic plan and for allegations of sexual harassment. It was not immediately clear if Cain could survive a Senate confirmation hearing for the Federal Reserve post.
