President Donald Trump complained during a White House meeting Wednesday that his planned State of the Union Address had been canceled. The president blamed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who had asked him to postpone the speech until the government shutdown was resolved.

"The State of the Union speech has been cancelled by Nancy Pelosi because she doesn’t want to hear the truth. She doesn't want the American public to hear what's going on," Trump said.

The president also complained it was “a great blotch on the incredible country that we all love.”
