President Donald Trump broke his silence on the scandal that has erupted after the Virginian Pilot reported on a racist yearbook photo on the page of Virginia's Democratic governor.

Trump criticized Governor Ralph Northam's comments about late-term abortion, a scandal from earlier Friday, without directly addressing his racism.

Northam won the race against Ed Gillespie by a comfortable 8 point margin, but Trump suggested that Gillespie's opposition research team was guilty of "Malpractice and Dereliction of Duty."

"If they find that terrible picture before the election, he wins by 20 points!" Trump claimed.
