'GOP projection game on point!' Trump allies scorched after comparing congresswomen’s white clothes to the KKK

A pair of leading Trump supporters compared Democratic lawmakers wearing white to honor suffragists to the Ku Klux Klan -- and got laughed off the internet.

Katrina Pierson, national spokesperson for Trump's 2016 campaign, and Pastor Darrell Scott, who served on the president's executive transition team, each suggested Democratic women in white during the State of the Union address were showing support for the notorious hate group.

Similar comments and memes circulated among conservatives on social media, and Pierson and Scott each found some approval on Twitter -- but they were each inundated with mockery and derision.
