On Tuesday, former White House ethics lawyer Richard Painter ripped Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) over his "intimidation" tweet aimed at Michael Cohen.

Painter, who served as George W. Bush's ethics lawyer, appeared on Dean Obeidallah's SiriusXM Progress show Tuesday to discuss the Congressman's recent comments.

Gaetz tweeted out that Cohen should be worried about what his wife thinks about him going to jail and other personal relationship matters. Gaetz said that it was not witnessed intimidation, but that he was "testing witnesses."

"This has nothing to do with 'testing witnesses' at all. It's witness intimidation," Painter said. "It's a threat."

He added, that the tweet was "just disgusting."
