Former acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker will testify again before the House Judiciary Committee to "clarify" his earlier testimony, the committee's chair revealed on Tuesday.

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) announced that Whitaker would be voluntarily testifying before his committee.

On Monday, The Wall Street Journal reported the committee believes that Whitaker misled lawmakers during his previous testimony.

Nadler included a link to that story in his announcement that Whitaker would be testifying.

The Wall Street Journal reported after the tweet that Congress will be requesting Whitaker come back to clarify some of his comments that have been found to be untrue. The Judiciary Committee now says it might have evidence that the president asked Whitaker to intervene in the investigations in the Southern District of New York.
