A circuit judge Thursday ruled in favor a black mother against the South Carolina Secessionist Party, effectively dissolving the group, reports the South Carolina Post and Courier.
The mother sued after the party handed her kids Confederate flags. Images of the kids circulated on social media, according to the lawsuit.
The judge ordered the Secessionist Party to pay $1,000 to the Charleston NAACP and get rid of all its online activity. On top of that, if they were to re-open they will have to pay $1 million to the mother and both children.
“If we just love one another, all of this stuff will go away,” the judge, who is black, urged.
