Steven Eric Mullins, the Alabama man convicted of murdering a gay man, was found stabbed to death at the St. Clair Correctional Facility, reports Birmingham Real-Time News.
Mullins, who was serving life without parole for the 1999 hate crime murder of Billy Jack Gaither, was found unresponsive and airlifted to a hospital.
50-year-old Christopher Scott Jones is a prime suspect in the killing.
