On Sunday, actor and social activist Jim Carrey unleashed his anger at President Donald Trump for failing to denounce white nationalism after the slaughter of Muslim worshippers in New Zealand by a deranged gunman who cited Trump as part of his inspiration.

Carrey created an image showing Trump's head, adorned with a swastika, as a meteor hurdles towards earth, the Huffington Post first reported.

"Innocent people are now being slaughtered, families ruined and childrens’ lives destroyed. All in his name. If the Craven Republican Senate allows this vile miscreant to continue encouraging devisiveness, the ‘Trump Presidency’ will become an EXTINCTION LEVEL EVENT,” Carrey wrote. He posted another image showing his own tears over New Zealand, captioned "My heart is with you New Zealand. My tears are for all of us,” he wrote beside the drawing."

Donald Trump has drawn criticism for not addressing the rising threat of white nationalism.
