President Donald Trump lashed out at Michael Cohen with some highly specific contradictions of his former attorney's congressional testimony.
Cohen publicly testified last week before the House Oversight Committee, and also testified multiple times in closed-door hearings, and the president hit back on his way to inspect tornado damage in Alabama.
"Bad lawyer and fraudster Michael Cohen said under sworn testimony that he never asked for a Pardon," Trump tweeted. "His lawyers totally contradicted him. He lied! Additionally, he directly asked me for a pardon. I said NO. He lied again! He also badly wanted to work at the White House. He lied!"
Cohen served as Trump's attorney and "fixer" for a decade, and in his guilty plea and congressional testimony he implicated Trump in multiple crimes, including fraud and campaign finance violations.
